AASHTO SRPG-1S

The State Rail Planning Best Practices, 1st Edition, published in 2009, provided state departments of transportation and the broader rail planning community with practical guidance on developing state rail plans that comply with federal guidelines, while accounting for the unique circumstances of each state. This Volume 2 supplement documents current best practices and summarizes states' activity over the past five years to develop state rail plans since the enactment of the Passenger Rail Investment and Improvement Act (PRIIA). It also summarizes the experiences of states that participated in a state rail planning survey conducted by AASHTO in 2013.
