ASTM B30-14

This specification establishes the requirements for copper alloys in ingot form that shall be subjected to remelting for the manufacture of castings having the Copper Alloy UNS No. designations specified and enumerated herein. Any materials and manufacturing process may be used so long as the alloy is of the required composition and mechanical characteristics, and the yielded ingot is free of defects of a kind that would render it unsuitable for remelting. Materials shall hence be sampled, prepared and tested accordingly to examine their conformance to mechanical, chemical composition, and weldability requirements.
