This document provides guidance for the validation of SS7 link diversity to providers of SS7 links to ensure the integrity of the SS7 network. Since SS7 link diversity is necessary to ensure the integrity of the interconnected SS7 networks, the document details the responsibilities of the Service Provider, methodologies for record maintenance and physical validation, and guidelines auditing processes for a variety of physical applications where the integrity of link diversity could be compromised. Where applicable, this document may address NGN aspects.
