Three grades of ortho-cresol, one of meta-cresol and one of para-cresol: solubility in sodium hydroxide, water content limit, residue on evaporation limit, approximate boiling points, sampling. For ortho-cresol, range of crystallizing point for each grade; forol, upper limit for colour, specific gravity range, lower limits for the crystallizing point; for para-cresol, lower limits for crystallizing point. Test methods appended.
