This BSI Flex describes methods of specifying the UK BIM Framework [N1] when procuring services which contain an information management element.

It does so by identifying the features and characteristics to be determined, to support a specifier in producing clear and unambiguous requirements.

This BSI Flex does not extend the provisions of the standards referenced. It is applicable to methods of appointment, both formal and informal. This includes establishing a framework, developing a select list and invitations to tender.

It is intended for individuals producing specifications and those who respond to such specifications.
