The coalmining industry is not covered by this code. The types of hazard are fully described, and advice given on the risks from high temperatures. Guidance is also given on types of wiring, automatic electrical protection and portable electrical apparatus. Intrinsically-safe circuits and apparatus are described a nd classified, with information on their use. Full advice is given on the practical side of construction, including earthing, and wiring in both conduit and metal-sheathed cables.
