Preface

The standards set forth herein apply to the second edition of the Standard for Gas Clothes Dryers, Volume I - Type 1 Clothes Dryers, ANSI Z21.5.1-1998/CSA 7.1-M98, and supersede corresponding standards therein. Following their preparation by the supervising subcommittee, they were accepted by ANSI, the Interprovincial Gas Advisory Council, and subsequently approved.
