Preface

The standards set forth herein apply to the fourth edition of the Standard for Gas Clothes Dryers, Volume I, Type I Clothes Dryers, ANSI Z21.5.1-2006 * CSA 7.1-2006, and supersede corresponding standards therein. Following their preparation by the supervising Technical Advisory Group, they were accepted by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and subsequently approved.

Details test and examination criteria for Type 1 clothes dryers for use with natural, manufactured or mixed gases, liquefied petroleum gases or LP gas-air mixtures.
