Preface The standards set forth herein apply to the sixth edition of the Standard for Gas-Fired Infrared Heaters, ANSI Z83.6-1990, and Addenda thereto, Z83.6a-1992, and supersede corresponding standards therein. Following their preparation by the supervising subcommittee, they were accepted by Accredited Standards Co mmittee Z83 and subsequently approved as American National Standard by the American National Standards Institute, Inc.
