1. Scope

This Standard applies to neutral supported cables, Type NS- 1 which is intended for use on systems having nominal voltages of 300 volts and less and not required to be flame retardant, and Type NSF-2 which is intended for use on systems having nominal voltages of 600 volts and less and required to be flame retardant, in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I.

This Standard makes frequent reference to CSA Standard C22.2 No. 0.3, Test Methods for Electrical Wires and Cables, which is hereinafter referred to as CSA Standard C22.2 No. 0.3.
