1. Scope

This Standard applies to the following devices for use on supply circuits of 600 V nominal or less, designed to be used in accordance with the Rules of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I: (a) devices intended for the connection of lamps to branch circuit conductors; (b) adapters, reducers, and current taps having male or female screwshells; and (c) starter holders for supporting automatic starters and completing the circuit between the ballasts and lamp terminals in the required manner.

1.2 Lampholders for Christmas tree and decorative lighting outfits, and for night lights, projection lamps, and street lights, are not included in this Standard.
