1. Scope

1.1

General This Standard applies to the commissioning of HVAC systems in health care facilities. It is a companion document to other Standards in the CSA Z318 Series of Standards.

1.2

Application HVAC systems are commonly classified in terms of the means by which they deliver cooling, ventilation, or heating of the spaces served.

The four major classifications are (a) all-air systems; and (b) air-water systems; and (c) all-water systems; and (d) unitary (or multiple unit) systems.

1.3

Limitations This Standard does not cover utilization HVAC equipment on the premises of a health care facility.
