Carbon monoxide alarms and detectors listed to the current alarm thresholds in UL 2034 are an important aspect of an overall carbon monoxide poisoning prevention strategy. Carbon monoxide alarms and detectors listed to UL 2034 and UL 2075 are very reliable and produce few false alarms. NEMA will continue to advocate for state and local adoption of the latest fire and building codes that have the most stringent carbon monoxide requirements.
